I have mainly female cousins, this was for the first cousin to have a bubba. They did not find out the gender while she was pregnant, so it was a hard task of piecing the quilt with a mix that would go either way. I waited till the baby was born before adding the borders. The name is just machine appliqued.
This was for a friends niece, just a simple one. It was the second part of her birth gift from her aunt, the first was Mrs Perkins below.
The quilt was a second request as the mother fell in love with the Kaffe Fassett fabric. Haven't we all!?
